   This is a very different movie from the original. While the first was a landmark event for the dark humor indie film. This film is just another addiction to Cabin in the Woods canon. However, it is a very well crafted addition to that genre. It takes itself more seriously, so it lack much of the campy charm of the original, but it makes up in plot and character development that the original glazes over. The film is sickly violent and never lets go of it's audience. If your a fan of a movie that rains blood (literally) you will not be disappointed. Its not an intelligent film but it never tries to be, it knows what it is trying to accomplish and it succeeds in strides. 11 years 6 months ago
