Pretty cool. Reminded me a combination of "Strange Days" and "Minority Report" if De Palma would've directed a mixture of the two. Pretty interesting that it was a John Carpenter screenplay. Quite rare for him to write something and not direct.
Lots of cool shots and sets in this, the 70s really come alive due to the protagonists' occupation. Some of the drawbacks include a fairly incoherent use of music but that was pretty much a gimme with films like these back then. Still was pretty enjoyable and fresh.
