Slightly better than average '70s wuxia film with a fairly simple revenge storyline centered around a hot-headed young hero who is trained in kung fu by his mother to defeat a pair of corrupt masters who killed his father. The fights were pretty decent, the final climactic battle was particularly satisfying (and bloody). The hero's a bit of a dolt, though, and it takes two fairly brutal ass-whoopings by the villains for him to realize he should probably listen to his mother and train more before taking them on. The fact that the actress playing his mother really doesn't look old enough for the part is a bit distracting as well. 11 years 5 months ago
