My favorite Coen Brothers film. Often find their stuff can go over my head a bit, but I loved Fargo. Incredible characters, a thrilling story and a lot of very funny moments. Awesome.

I feel like this movie's extremely overrated but it's definitely a good film and great camera work. Maybe I just felt let down cause I'd heard so much about it.

While it's clear during the movie that the movie isn't based on any particular real life event, I felt it was insulted that the Coen Brothers added a "based on a true story" tag to the movie. I'm not certain if it was supposed to be a social experiment to get people to react differently, or if it was a use of artistic license, but the movie could have done just fine without it.

There is something about William H. Macy perfomance/character that got under my skin. yah didn't like it. Outside of that, the performances of Frances McDormand, Peter Stromare and Steve Buscemi where great and all had great comedic moments. Still, I think No Country for Old Man and The Big Lebowski are much more interesting works by the Coen Brothers.
