Entertaining and exciting, a story well told that keeps you interested and invested in the fate of the characters. Solid performances all round, though Stephen Dorff did seem slightly blasé in a few scenes dealing with his inescapable and increasingly impossible situation. Val Kilmer was unexpectedly good and looked fit, nothing at all like the fat slouch we saw in MacGruber just 3 years ago.
As prison movies goes, this is a really good one.
