Thought this film would be way better with every saying how amazing it is. Was disapointed after all the hype

Easily in my top 5 films of all time, Fight Club is a ballad to the disenfranchised Generion Xers. Dark and grimy, but poetically visual, the film adds to the novel rather than reducing it to its bare parts. A great postmodern tale.

Watched it first as a really young teen and back then I hated it. Now, going on thirty, I watched it again and though it'll never be one of my favorites, I'm now able to appreciate that certain appeal it's got.

It's certainly an interesting story and it offers - especially through the narrator - lots of food for thought on various matters of today's world.

I'm really fond of darker or troubled characters in a movie which is why I liked the protagonist and his struggle against his meaningless existence and his insomnia... and the way he tries to deal with it. Edward Norton's acting was great.

Other elements of the movie, e.g. feeling better if someone beats the crap out of you or following a leader mindlessly, were less up my alley... although I don't doubt lots of real people would indeed be drawn to that.

What fascinated me was the ending spoiler and the way David Fincher showed the protagonist's state of mind with atmospheric pictures and flickers on the screen.

All in all, a pretty fascinating film that's not entirely my cup of tea but still very intricately made and partly really entertaining and smart.

The twist is fantastic and the plot for the most part was good, but I thought ending could have been better.

It has been quite a few years since I've seen this film, definitely need to watch it again in 2014. Having watched 25th hour and a few other films, Norton is growing on me.

Oh man... Anarchist's wet dream. Very good story and direction and is nice too see some references to Ingmar Bergman "Persona" which has an heavy influence on this movie. There is a lot of machismo thought, I mean where are all the women?
ALSO STOP SPOILING THE END, NOT EVERYONE HAS SEEN THIS MOVIE!

In the end, i didn't quite get it. But then I just looked at the screen while saying "WTF". I love the Pixies and hearing that song at the end, just knocked me out. Very nice movie, two of my favorite actors, great work.

However, I have to say I had higher expectations, mainly because of the top10 in IMDB. I think it doesn't deserve it.

was expecting the great "twist" but seriously enjoyed this movie. dark, gritty in a world where the underdog is crushed underfoot. superb plot, excellent acting, great support cast and david fincher giving us a masterpiece
