I didn't expect a reward for watching the first 8 Friday the 13th movies in 4 days, but I didn't expect a film to slap me round the face for my efforts either.

The previous movies weren't that good, but this one is trash, I don't know how the acting can be this bad (the main actress is not bad, but all the others...), usually when I see bad acting I enjoy it, but in this case it is in the limit of disliking it and enjoying it, and I think it is mostly cringe.

I don't hate it, but it is amazing how it can be this bad, even in comparision with the previous movies. Also, it is the longest of all the Jason movies!!!

Despite the short amount of time actually spent in New York (It should really be called Jason Goes on a Cruise) the film's unique setting and Rob Hedden's technical direction brought much-needed fresh air into the repetitive franchise.

Oh, and Jason punches a character's head off in this movie.

Average Jason film. Some great moments, the fistfight with Julian is some of the best work of the series. And the idea of Jason in Times Square just works. The climax in the sewer is also very effective.

This may be the best of the sequels. That's not really saying a whole lot though. It's the only film of the original franchise, other than the original, that doesn't earn a dislike from me.
