This show has incredible production values, an vast universe told with epic sweep, grimly realistic politics stooped in our collective past, and a whole slew of superbly-acted memorable badasses, moments and gleefully gruesome detail: its' depiction of sexuality and violence is plausible, tough, and entertaining. But best of all, much like The Sopranos - this speaks to the desire for power in all of us, and acts as an ominous reminder of how truly little our current political machinations have moved on from such brutality. Best show on TV right now, perhaps in a decade.

I agree with djgray88 and Heer Rood. As good as Game of Thrones is, it's not a movie and seems to be compromising the point of the list.

Yeah it is quite ridiculous. Especially having the individual episodes as checks.

It's not like imdb's single tv list is note worthy either.

Best plot, characters, design and script than I've ever experienced in any TV series or film before. The character arcs, plot twists and epic battle scenes keep you speechless every episode. But it suffers when filled with scenes of graphic nudity, violent rape and gratuitous sex.
