Disturbing and sad documentary on the life and death of Timothy Treadwell. Unsurprisingly, not a happy ending.

It was a great movie because of Treadwell. All Herzog's commentary did was retract from something fascinating.

BTW, Treadwell never 'anthropomorphized' the bears. He himself was becoming animal.

A lot of this movie would have spoken for itself but no we have to have Herzog talk over shit like we're idiots. How about instead of 'analyzing' this man who was far braver and more interesting than any of you boring assholes, you actually stop and think that maybe he was on to something. Sure he dies at the end, and you will take that as justification that you are right and he is wrong. But if you're watching Pocahontas or Avatar something you'll quickly take the opposite side. Hypocrites.

PS Anyone who uses the term 'mature' in their review is a pseud, period. To understand movies first you have to understand life.

Herzog's fascination for a fake Don Quixote imagining enemies to find a meaning in life.
