This is the best comedy movie. But jokes usually funny for turkish people so, other people may don't like it.

This is a good comedy, similar to "Animal House". Some actors are over-the-top (but many comedies are like that) and the soundtrack is terrible, but apart from that it is surprisingly funny. I'm brazilian, never been to Turkey, and yet I found it pretty easy to understand and enjoy. I wouldn't go so far to put this film in any list, but I've seen far worse films in many lists around here.

The version on YouTube (MMDan's link) is a good HD restoration, but has horrible subtitles done by, I quote: "Rotaract Club of Ankara Kavaklıdere". They should have let that do a professional.

The subtitles several times don't even get the name of the female lead character right (Semra becomes Selma for some reason), text bits that are not spoken but nevertheless very important are not translated.

The bad subtitles ruin an otherwise sweet and funny Turkish classic for a foreign audience, I guess. Maybe there is a better version out there somewhere.
