Couldn't make it past half of it.
All I've heard for years is how beautiful and amazing this movie is and now that I finally (partly) watched it...can't stand it.
This is what happens when men try to represent something they don't understand. Unfortunately, a lot of us got so used to expect so little from movies where our relationships are being depicted that many of the community ends up loving unreliable representations.
I was able to understand the director's concept and what he was trying to achieve, but for me, it was too unrealistic to bear.
The cinematography and rhythm were amazing but, again, the technical aspects weren't enough to keep me watching.
This movie has a great concept and plot, but even with the director's best intentions (if he had any) and pretentious-yet-good vision it is, nevertheless, just a poor male fantasy of what a connection between two women is.
If I were much younger or straight I would probably like it, since I wouldn't feel nauseated by the realization of how even well-intended men view people like me. 2 years 6 months ago -

I never seen love being so well demonstrated in a movie screen. It starts with sex but it ends with something way more deep. 7 years 4 months ago -

As someone once stated on the Internet: At least it passed the Bechdel test. 7 years 4 months ago
