not a fan, but I actually really enjoyed this one! Doesn't deserve a place in the top 250 though, but my guess is it will probably leave it within a few years...Tmeleaaa
A good thing about this movie is far better than the previous part (Deathly Hallows part 1).safeeuropeanhome
As a big HP fan I didn't care for the start scene in Gringotts, and I think the ending could have been done much, much better. The middle part of the movie up until Harry's scene with Dumbledore was however really good in my opinion. Any scene with Alan Rickman is a highlight, he is really excellent.
Enjoyable end to the series, although I have never liked Michael Gambon as Dumbledore, Richard Harris was much better.

This movie deserves to get more attention. Each Potter film got so few accolades by critics' list.Siskoid
The final part is largely a giant battle, returning everyone to Hogwart's and ticking all the boxes in terms of people, monsters and artifacts from across the series. It's what makes watching the entire thing not a waste of time, because it makes all the pieces matter. It even sets the series up for a re-watch given its key revelations. Feel free to skip over the 19 years later epilogue though; who needs it!Hopebringer
What's wrong with me. I was sitting in this movie all 2 and whotsoever hours thinking "With lightsabers, this would be so much better."DisneyStitch
Granted I've never been a massive fan of Potter in any way but this one felt like a rather off-key and anticlimactic end compared to what I was expecting. This and Part 1 certainly felt like reading the book was a requirement before viewing. All of the sudden there's a bunch of wand lore regarding ownership and power levels and all of that made no sense to me at all, plus it's referenced enough times that I guess it's super important to the plot which just confuses someone who hasn't read the books. Also, I can't be the only one who thought that Bonham Carter was wasted as Bellatrix ever since we first met her. She has enough talent that she could've taken over for Voldy as the main villain and it still would've been awesome. I don't know if Bellatrix's role in the books was already small but they certainly didn't take full advantage there.

I'm a bit confused about this one. Great scenes, entertaining, but somehow it ended too abruptly for me. Again, I liked the book better, but the movie was good as well.MM
ETA that this is off the top 250?HaleyWasHere
I really liked all the Harry Potters except this one. I feel like they tried to hard to fit everything in and honestly half way through the movie I was just bored. I wished they had not done the two parts and instead just combined them into one.firewordsparkler
I was sobbing during Snape's memories. Alan Rickman (and the other Snape actors) was perfect.frankqb
A dazzling and, appropriately, spell-binding conclusion to the series that satisfies every last curiosity. Where the other films in the series seemed cursory and forgettable, this one was anything but. A true surprise. Highly recommended.gmjb
It was terrific. Even though they changed quite a lot of stuff from the book it was just excellent. Really. A superb ending.ReVision
The movie was good for what it is, but doesn't deserve such a high ranking.Showing items 1 – 15 of 104
