Saccharine perhaps - terrible, inert and plodding definitely not. Melodramatic but in a positive sense. I quickly grew to care about these people and found this tearjerker far suprior to its modern equivelents. 13 years 7 months ago

What a beautiful film celebrating beautiful people, beautiful on the inside, of course - their strength of character and sense of family and duty. A meaningful film that aims at your heart and wins over your soul. 12 years 3 months ago
