Of course it has it’s sports movies cliches, gotta love the montage ;). But it just works so damn well. Love Adam Sandler in this, feels so natural. And he just adds a lot of humor to the film and puts fun and emotion in the relationship with Bo Cruz. Showing both of their insecurities worked really well.
This is one of the best sports movies I've watched in a few years. A lot of behind the scenes terminology that not everyone might not know, even as a basketball fan, but it doesn't make it too complicated to watch. Sandler is proving he really has the chops in a number of interesting roles these days!
Its good, really good, but not quite great. It couldve been. I believe in Adam Sandler as an actor but the director here just couldnt get what was needed out of him or the rest of the film
