An interesting and important film, that provides an window into a world of censorship and oppression and shows the efforts of the people trapped within it to attain some measure of freedom. The appearance of an ad hoc video diary is misleading, and I think significant thought and planning has gone into this.
For instance, the only visible DVD in his collection is "Buried" which just happens to reflect his state of mind, indicating a deliberate placement to enhance the film. I could be wrong: maybe Panahi is just a big Ryan Reynolds fan ;) 10 years ago -
