I had the unique opportunity to experience Inception again in a cinema 10 years after its release yesterday evening, as the local cinema chain here is warming up with a Nolan marathon before Tenet will be premiered.

In 2010 I went twice to the cinema to see Inception and was completely blown away both times. Then 10 years pass and I didn't see it again until yesterday.

Needless to say, the movie magic is still there. What a cinema experience! There were some plot points that I found to be a bit incoherent but I fully realize that might just be my own stupidity instead of Nolan's storytelling. The score I also found to be overly dramatic and a tad distracting at times. But all in all, this is Nolan's masterpiece and last decade's greatest film.

I think this is the best movie of Nolan, playing with our minds trying to give us a plot twist in every corner of the movie.

Di Caprio, sadly not Oscar winner, fits perfectly as protagonist.
The story of Cobb and Mal,makes the idea of dreams a little bit dangerous and tries to immpress an opinion of reality.

Watching it in theatres was the absolute best. It's one of Nolan's films that is really as confusing as you want it to be depending on how much you invest your mind into it (nothing like "Memento" which was nigh impossible to read on the first viewing). Even if you don't necessarily understand the plot devices you can still sit back and enjoy without feeling totally lost. Nolan did a great job because of that reason. However, somehow the movie loses its re-watch ability over time. After seeing it maybe 5 or 6 times I have no desire or need to plop down for another 148 minutes and see it again.

@nick-samuel: Yes, it's actually a comic but it was animated a little and added to the Blu-ray release of the movie. It's called Inception: The Cobol Job. It's hard to find online but I did find this Spanish video that includes it from 3:00 to 18:15: (mod-edit: dead link removed). Enjoy!

For me its pretty dimensional movie lol... its kinda genuine that this movie is overrated coz i have watched it and feel its was great (found no glitch on acting or in the movie either) but seriously it won't come that much to you expectations.

I just hate Mal, hate her so much in this film.... But the movie is great; the story, the characters etc. At first I thought this movie will be boring but I was wrong, the film was definitely the opposite of boring.

"FADE IN:
DAWN. CRASHING SURF.
The waves TOSS a BEARDED MAN onto wet sand. He lies there.
A CHILD’S SHOUT makes him LIFT his head to see: a LITTLE
BLONDE BOY crouching, back towards us, watching the tide eat
a SANDCASTLE. A LITTLE BLONDE GIRL joins the boy. The Bearded
Man tries to call them, but they RUN OFF, FACES UNSEEN. He
COLLAPSES."

Inception is about dreams... the beautiful symbolism like the crashing surf that Nolan describes in his screenplay and the children playing in the sand increases the depth the more frequently you watch this film. There are so many countless similar elements like these. Later on the film slowly takes us through a universe where it's possible to break into anyone's dreams and steal their secrets. If you haven't seen Inception, then there's no point telling the story in more depth. It's just that Inception is incredibly thrilling and forces you to think. Nolan convinced me at some points that "they are not gonna make it, this mission is over"... this is the part which keeps you on the edge! It has probably countless moments like these and in some of them were so smartly handled that my heart skipped a beat. The thrills are genuine and the allegory of Inception has created a really rich world filled with fresh insights. If this dream thing happens in real life, I am sure this is how it will happen. I can't compare this with Nolan's other masterpieces, they are all on the same level for me. But do watch this film not just for it's smart screenplay but also the visuals, the amazing detailing that won Inception four Academy Awards including Best Visual Effects and Cinematography.

A film rich in every aspects and one will always find something new to discover...

Nolan's SciFi heist thriller. Hugely ambitious, original and inventive - although not as good on this second viewing. 8/10.

Great movie, but it couldn't live up to the tremendous hype that has been made since its release.

Hardy and Gordon-Levitt were especially good in this one.

Amazing it is. You certainly need to pay attention. It keeps you at the tip of the chair. Yet somewhere, it can be compared with the matrix, but with a complete different type of action. Good one.

Amazing story, a real fantasy action movie. The idea of actions in dreams, and dreams inside dreams is very creative! One of the best blockbuster movies ever done.
