Tarantino might be a mad man, but he makes damn good movies. This is one of his best examples. I'm not a big fan of Tarantino, but I can't deny how great he is and that watching his movies is a true delight.

Hmm. Not really sure about this one. Thought it was good, but then again didn't like a lot of it, and I don't even think it's worth mentioning, as a lot of people have, that it wasn't among Tarantino's best. With all the love it's getting though, feel like I'm missing something.

Loved this film when I first watched it, Cristoph Waltz was amazing and the story wasn't half bad, didn't like it as much as Tarantino's other films though. Urrivadurchee!

Linguistically absolutely great; it's rare to find even bilingual, let alone trilingual, films with an authenticity that can rival this. And that's not counting the Italian segment, which was pretty funny.
Other than that, it was pretty good. Definitely not topping Pulp Fiction, not to mention Reservoir Dogs, and it's not exactly going in my Favourites, but it was pretty good all the same.

I don't get it, I just don't get it. I thought this movie was absolutely dreadful. I think if you took away the lure of Tarantino and the pull of Brad Pitt many more would see this movie for what it is - juvenile rubbish which i'd put in the same category as the Scary Movie series. It was also easily Brad Pitt's worst performance I can remember.

The positives: Simple; Christopher Waltz. One of the single greatest performances from any actor in recent years. So good that it almost made up for the rest of this contrived rubbish. It's also beautifully set, I absolutely loved the opening scene but it was all downhill from there.

In all honesty, unless you're a teenage boy under the age of 16 I can't for the life of me understand how this movie would appeal to anyone. It was so idiotic it was almost offensive. And looking at all the plaudits this film received and all the reputable lists this film appears on almost makes me lose hope :)

Although I think the movie did a wonderful job of portraying the way languages were actually used during World War II (there's little that makes me respect a movie more than when German characters are played by actual Germans), I found the excessive historical revisionism a little distasteful. A decent film, but nothing on the level of Pulp Fiction.

i watched this three times in the space of a month, it is brilliant on so many levels. people find it very very easy to criticise tarantino for simply being a fanboy of other films, making his films nothing other than tributes. but here he makes every scene compelling with camera work, dialogue, fantastic characters and extreme tension. its pure entertainment
