The good visuals and the fantastic acting made the over-idealistic main character seem less of a crazy guy than he probably was. The fast cutting in the voice over sequences were very good.UnEnfantPerdu
People loving the acting, cinematography and soundtrack. I despair for the world.UnEnfantPerdu
I'm shocked at what an unmitigated disaster of a piece of work this is. There is surely not ten films in the history of cinema worse than this piece of garbage.Cesar Augusto
A real great movie, with all the scenery! and a soundtrack by Eddie Vedder, the story essentially, is amazing!Joker of Gotham
This movie surprised me in so many ways, this movie is so beautifull and inspiring, Chris knew what he wanted and he tried hard to get it. Thank God that this movie was made for people to know the adventure that this "Kid" had, and the fantastic and beautiful story that he lived5/5

I keep on thinking back on this great story. Several years since I saw this movie, but it still has a great impact on me.Hippiemans
An inspiring story about an idealistic young man. Beautifully portrayed by Emile Hirsch with the music of the amazing Eddie Vedder. Sean Penn really made a masterpiece here.Maxime_R
I just watched it. It blew me away. Made me silent. Great, Great movie, great acting and directing.Emile Hirsch, you're a great talent. (Cool role too in "Taking Woodstock")
Great. Name everything as it is, right? Great.

Beautiful, beautiful movie. I can’t believe I spent so many years without watching it.djpatch28
The movie is perfectly fine but doesn't even come close to comparing to the book. The book was one of my favorite reads of all time.ViniciusOG

One of the most beautiful and saddest movies I've ever seen. It's wonderful how everything leads to the unavoidable end that everyone knows but chose not to believe. One of the things that I most enjoyed in the story is how Alex spreads love and wisdom wherever is passed. Everyone learned from him. From the young 16 years old girl to the octogenarian war veteran.
Amazing job by every actor in the movie. Emile is impeccable. Hal Holbrook is extraordinary and very well deserved the Academy Award nomination. Truly unique movie by the master Seann Penn. His best movie so far.
It's a little too long, but nothing to worry. Still an excellent movie.

Boy walks around in the wilderness, eats the wrong berries and dies. My word, where do I apply to get two hours the movie took from my life back?FionaBrown
This movie is completely overrated, but it is one of my favorites! The movie itself could have been done better, in my opinion. But it's a story that tells everything that I stand for. (:Showing items 31 – 45 of 71
