   Russian classic, for some reason. Really, why do they like it so much? My parents (and the rest of the middle age people I know) used to and are going to keep on watching it every new years eve. They've seen it like 40 times or more.
   The only part which I liked was the animation at the beginning (so true, I freaking hate soviet architecture). That's it. The rest was... ugh. 11 years 11 months ago

   Pretty much. It's shown on russian TV AT LEAST once a year around new year's. I don't think it's so much that everyone loves it, as it's grown into tradition from just about everyone's childhood and holds nostalgic value.
