not an enjoyable movie by any means, a good movie maybe, but not enjoyable.

It’s odd, because so many are saying the scene in the film is so disturbing which it is, but I had heard about it beforehand, so I was expecting it. What shocked me was the end of the brutal fight in the gay club, which I thought was even more graphic. The film itself is something of a masterpiece, especially with the structure of the storyline, with the final half of the film completely different from the first half, which was sleazy and frankly a little disgusting. The second half is more playful, with themes of love and friendship.

The Fable Muncher

Overall it's a rather simplistic film. A story of revenge bookended with a philosophical notion. However, its simplicity is not meant to be a criticism. Everything is on the surface with this film, but what it does is push it so far to the limits that you can't help but be captivated despite its conventional story.

It's a compelling and rather unique piece of work. The film may not say much in the end, but what it does is present its tale beautifully.

Definitely not one I would watch with other people, but solid film. Honestly gets a little boring halfway through though. Very anticlimactic.

Offensive offensive film, I can handle a lot and still appreciate it but this was a film that boasts (even on their dvd) that "hundreds of people walked out of the theater at Cannes" rightfully so IMO, provocative style trying to mess with the audience, it worked but should be in the same category as salo, realm of the senses, etc :/ not good
