Unfortunate Synopsis

I keep this movie on my DVR to put me to sleep at night.

What a dull movie. This could have been great, given the cast, director, screewriter, and not to mention the subject matter. Covering some of the most important events of the last century, the film crawls along. And the prosthetics are unconvincing. This should have been a showcase for Leo's acting, but perhaps he was miscast.

If you enjoy eating plain porridge for breakfast with a nice, warm glass of ovaltine, folding laundry, and watching reruns of Three's Company...you just may be the kind of person to enjoy this movie.

To be honest, I actually did enjoy this movie, but I can enjoy just about anything that meets a medium standard of production quality, acting, writing, etc. I can't remember the last Clint Eastwood-directed film that I didn't like, but I can't remember the last one I loved either.

Yet another good Clint Eastwood movie, but Changeling will always be my favourite of the bunch!
Make-up was total crap. I couldn't see even a touch of emotion on Leo's face, which made it hard to act along with. So goes to Armie, which turned out even worse; I didn't even recognize him at all. Also Leo's accent was too fake and stern in the beginning and only softens a notch into the middle of the movie.

Overall was good. I give it 4/5 stars.

Hampir seperti one-man show nya DiCaprio, namun Armie Hammer, Naomi Watts & Judi Dench tampil baik dengan make-up yang luar biasa detail. Penampilan singkat Ed Westwick di awal cukup mencuri perhatian. Sayang, seperti film biopic lainnya, film ini membosankan.
