I love Bette in this, she truly transforms her character. The scene where Preston comes back, she shows true heartbreak at that moment, made me cry when I watched it. I want to watch it again now...
Great film. I'd give Bette Davis in that red dress anything she wants-- no matter how many Southern ladies she offends. Some of the scenes involving black actors are hard to take nowadays tho.
