Excellent movie, if not a bit too polished and "Hollywood"-tized, particularly with regard to the barbarity Our Lord suffered during His Passion. In addition, unlike another classic movie on this subject, "Jesus of Nazareth," the Apostles in this movie are not well-developed. In particular, Simon Peter seems to have no qualms about dropping his entire life and following Jesus. Overall, the acting, costumes and music are superb...a real treat of a film for Eastertide! 9 years ago
