i don't know why, but this film didn't resonate well with me. i ended up giving up a bit after the half way mark. what was with the acting? am i missing something? the character interaction felt robotic and very "fast talky". guy pearce is usually very good, but here, i don't see it. he seems very forced and bi-polar, his emotions weren't flowing like they should. it was like watching a schoolboy trying to throwdown for the first time. hmmm.
maybe i'll watch this in a couple years time and appreciate it for what it is, but as of right now i'm not grabbed by this film.
spacey was real good though. but then again, when isn't he good.

honestly, can someone respond to me and tell me what i'm supposed to be getting out of this? is it some throwback to old crime films? i want to see the appeal, but i can't. this is really disappointing.

don't mistake this comment for some pretentious douche hating on popular things. i never want to be THAT guy.
