   Some great gags here - the earthquake, the ATM scene, trying to book a reservation at a fancy restaurant. I'm genuinely surprised this film isn't more widely known and appreciated. And to be fair, I was barely aware of it prior to just watching it now. 8 years 7 months ago

   I watched this yesterday with my roommate (who's only lived here in California/the US for 3 years...just enough to get most of the jokes, but not all of them) and we couldn't stop laughing! This film is older than either of us but all of it still holds true - from the easiest to tease suspects of about how we feel about earthquakes and every aspect of driving, to "californian cuisine" and plastic surgery jokes (I had to explain to my roommate that no, everyone doesn't just look great all the time, plastic surgery has just gotten really good here and nose jobs and eyelid surgeries are a right of passage for most, we can spot botox and facelifts when out-of-staters can't). This film is timeless. 8 years 9 months ago
