An absolute masterpiece of screenwriting, packed with humor, suspense, and humanity. Couldn't recommend this one more highly; despite the running time, I hope to watch this one again very soon.

Do not let the running time intimidate you. It really is quite a wonderful film, and although I do wonder if the creators ever considered making it a mini-series, the story lines and plots flow well with a great cast of interesting and details characters, woven in with their relationships and tribulations. It's worth it! I was never bored or wishing it was over, which happens to me often even in 1hr and 40 minute movies!

A truly beautifuly crafted film! It´s a tribute to the great journey of life and packed with events and emotions surrounding a family spanning several decades.

Though i don´t speak italian i can at least say:
Bravissimo! Excellente!

Starts like a rocket, warm and full of generosity, but suddenly falls into endless self-centered and self-indulged bourgeois boredom. What a pity! Could have gone very far with these characters...

Every single scene with Giorgia is perfection. The rest of the movie is very good, but I don’t think it’s the masterpiece so many seem to see in it. The story is too stuffed with coincidences, to name just one issue I had.
