   The more obvious and better ending to this movie:

   Vera returns to his mother's dress shop, but does not reveal his true identity. He is ironically now able to attract his former co-worker and dream woman, Cristina. They lesbian marry and adopt a million African babies. Happily Ever After. The End.

   Twisted and morbid film that falls in love with its own sense of punishment. Watch how the camera lingers on angles, and the music hangs in the air. This is more a work about revenge than sexuality or the survival of identity - as one character gradually falls for his grief stricken, perverse inflictions, the other struggles to survive it long enough to the final turn. It leaves you wondering who won. A good work and recommended, but more thought provoking than strictly warm or even typically enjoyable. 12 years 7 months ago

   It's not often that you see a psycho thriller with constant time shifts and subplots executed as brilliantly as this film. Almodovar has created a masterpiece, and I am very eager to see more from him. 12 years 4 months ago
