Sorry, for me nothing but boring, I hate this moving camera and I don't get the reason, why the camera can't stay calm! And I am not homophobe, really.
I don't a believe a man can't comment on what a woman would feel or that a woman can't comment on how a man would feel, but is there any reason why the director couldn't have told the same story with a young gay boy/man?Would he have been allowed to shoot similar scenes with young gay men?
Blown away by this film - it might be 3 hours long but it grips you all the way. The actresses are insanely good, it must have been a huge commitment to achieve such realism and intensity - a stunning portrayal of all-consuming love and loss. The best film I've seen this year, no doubt. Only minor criticism would be
the 1st sex scene, which was overlong and veered a bit to close to porn for me
One of last year's finest films. Beautiful, gripping and I wish I had made it. Heck, I wish I had been aloud to make coffee for those that did make it.
Very good but that first sex scene went on for so long that by the end it had my laughing. So when the second came around I could only picture Mr./Miss Garrison yelling, "yeah, scissor me!"
A near-perfect execution of realism, if not for the unrealistic portrayal of Lille, France, in particular its climate. I actually live in Lille, and the city as portrayed in this film is unrecognizable.
That's a superficial critique, however, and I actually do rate this as the best of 2013 from what I've seen so far.

That moment in the movie when you're trying to hide your boner from your brother, which is during the whole duration of the film.andype

Rodney Dangerfield
From IMDB trivia:I'm sure if he really wanted to, the director could have had that scene wrapped up in an hour ;)
