A slow burner, for sure, but consistently interesting -- held together by it's incredible sense of style. As you learn about Titta's life and circumstances, you really get pulled in, and the stakes are raised. At it's heart though, there is a great Lost In Translation-esque love story

To me this movie is near perfection. Not outright relying on telltale dialogue and visual cues, The Consequences of Love's (TCOL) story unfolds in a metronome type tempo aided by brilliant directing and understated humour, sprinkled with a La Cosa Nostra sauce.
