While there are quite a few disparities between the movie and the book, it's still a staggering movie. It is sure that some aspects of the book are not present in the movie. But you know, it is absurd to fit more than a thousand pages into a span of a two-hour film. They had to cut and they did. I know it's unsatisfactory but you have to try and see beyond what they didn't show and enjoy the movie for what it is. Formidable director Billie August and writer Rafael Yglesias pulled that off nicely. 11 years 11 months ago -
