   Painlevé does indeed re-work some of his titles, so there is an earlier film called Les oursins in addition to the one listed here.
   
   The easiest way to see them is to rent (or buy, if you're really enthusiastic) the Criterion box set, which includes both versions of Les oursins. If you're in Orange County, California, that shouldn't be too difficult.
   
   Or maybe you could see the whole Painlevé panoply on Hulu's Criterion channel? 11 years 1 month ago
