A lot of important issues weaved seamlessly into a character's journey over the border. Beautifully directed and a very nuanced writing brought to life by a great performance from Thompson. Sadly, Lily James is just not up to the part she is trusted with and she brings down every important scene she is a part of with the all the subtlety of soap opera acting to the detriment of the script. It's a good thing that Thompson is utterly watchable and saves the movie. 4 years 9 months ago -

Its a shame Lily James couldnt hold up her part here. The accent was a challenge Id imagine. Love her in everything else Ive seen. Tessa is great as always.
Subject matter was unrelatable to this viewer however other than what i said above about LJ falling flat, this was a well done film. 4 years 5 months ago -

loooooveeeeee me Sundance backed feature film debut by a woman filmmaker. double whammy to have this feature abortion, the opioid epidemic, and healthcare weaved thoroughly into the narrative. 4 years 11 months ago
