Spanish horror-comedy in the vein of Shaun of the Dead, but instead of zombies, this riffs on the Spanish horror film tradition, particularly the Waldemar Daninsky werewolf films. It has a few laughs and scares but not nearly enough of either. The comedy frequently undermines the horror; a lot of this is due to the characters never taking the circumstances seriously, frequently joking and clowning around when it should only be the audience laughing. There are also too many things which don't make sense, particularly a nonsensical curse with arbitrary conditions that only serve to move along the plot, and a dog which can track scent through six feet of earth and a layer of masonry. 10 years 11 months ago
