Not sure I was as impressed as a lot of people. I love wolverine but not how he was here. HATED him and prof X cursing, didn't seem right at all. I know they were going for a more realistic approach but for me it just didn't work.
Logan is a fascinating film with quality film-making chops and a solid script. It never strays into comfortable superhero territory and feels wholly original for the genre. However, as the film moves into its final chapter you realize that the rabid creature that you thought had changed is actually just restrained and it breaks free of its artificial straight-jacket revealing the same old tired action clichés and unnecessary metaphors.
Logan is like the Slumdog Millionaire of superhero movies: The first half is great and then is completely undone by the inanity of the second half.
The only reason I can't label this "the best film in the entire X-Men franchise" is that imho Logan can't be considered entirely a superhero movie... it's much more drama than superheroic. And it's just beautiful.
I held off watching this for the longest time, and I was right to. It's a great movie, fantastic acting etc etc, but I just don't see the point of it. I'm boring that way, I like my superheroes young and fit. And not
WOW, what a suprise. This was a GREAT drama with a lot violence and action disguised as a xmen movie. One of the best superhero movies ever. Just terrific with Hackman powerfull as ever.
"There's a man goin' 'round takin' names.
An' he decides who to free and who to blame.
Everybody won't be treated all the same.
There'll be a golden ladder reaching down.
When the man comes around."
There may be no more formulaic or predictable genre of film than superhero movies. Occasionally, however, such films manage to surprise and escape the narrow bounds imposed, and that happened here. By making this (as the title suggests) about Logan the person, rather than Wolverine, the guy with metal fingernails, James Mangold manages to create a film that contemplates the cruel passage of time (no less cruel to superheroes). Well done. Note, however, that the product placement to be found here is arguably even more obvious and annoying than usual. (not Man of Steel bad, but still bad).

A very human and "realistic" X-men movie. I quite liked it. I did not expect the emotional impact. Pleasantly surprised.Gabor.
A bit overrated thoughtNoMatterWhat
if this movie is considered as an instant classic, you know how shitty other superhero movies are.Showing items 1 – 15 of 24
