I've watched it twice and still fail to see why it was made at all. Nothing happens in it... I just feel like I'm watching people live their day to day lives and there's no tense moments or problems/resolution. If anything, it's slightly nauseating.
First time I watched it it was at the cinema and we were due to see Master and Commander, but it was sold out. So we watched this. My girlfriend loved it (aphrodisiac!).
Seen it twice since.

I recommend the DVD commentary, full of insight include how to walk on film... Incredible insight from Andrew Lincoln
It's a nice movie. I did enjoy many scenes and found them funny, although I liked some stories more than others... Keira Knightley's and Colin Firth's stories were really sweet. Alan Rickman is always great, but his secretary was so annoying I did not really buy his interest in her. The singer was mostly just tedious.
All in all, not as bad as some people say, but neither as good as it's described sometimes.
