Authentically moving. Certainly the leading roles (and even the adult cameos) are incredibly well cast for maximum emotional impact. Distinguished by some fearlessly original camera angles that will likely force audiences to consider even life's mundane aspects from new perspectives. A special treat for movie fans who will enjoy teen parodies of cinephile favorites.God

I loved it, its really moving in its own way, I think greg is just realistic, a bit too much but he is being him.I totally recommended it

First 30 minutes of this movie I really disliked it. Thought Greg was incredibly, unbearably pretentious, but I began to understand him in the later part of the movie. I ended up liking the overall message at the end, with the sliver of hope it gave. I liked the part where Greg showed her the movie. A few shots and dialogue bits are nice, too.greenhorg
Very similar plot to 'The Fault in Our Stars' (the books were both released in 2012, and the two films were also made and released within one year of each other), but with a better, Michel Gondry-esque, DIY creative aesthetic.jeff_v

Read the book two years ago, which was a joy. Watched this, and had the same experience. Not more I can ask for.CSSCHNEIDER
Yet another Sundance darling filled with quirky cliches, SNL/NBC/ABC comedy vets trying to lend weight and more quirk to a middling script. These films have as much identity as the modern blockbuster, with their checklist of festival and young, supposedly high minded film connoisseurs approved elements. These films are lazy.Is it a bad film? Hardly. Is it a good film? Barely.
