this must have been overlooked on release because of zach effron's association with tween disney movies, because this is absolutely phenomenal. linklater shines through the period setting to make a movie that's poignant and charming while shifting seemlessly between biopic and intertextual allusion. it's gdang pimp jfc i gotta go see everybody wants some that's the only one i haven't seen now 7 years 6 months ago -
