Twenty-five years after first watching this and I still tear up during all the Tiny Tim scenes.

Can’t say I really enjoyed this version. I know it was meant for children, but it still feels far too bowdlerized and dumbed down. Huge sections of the story have also been removed, possibly to fit into a 30 minute time slot, and I think it unfortunately loses a lot of depth and richness in the process. it might be of sentimental value to those who grew up with it, but it’s merits don’t really go beyond that
