I just loved this one. Great locations, great entertainment, wonderful actors... this time the villain was a special treat, really scary and creepy - Philip Seymour Hoffman at his most evil.

Easily one of the best action films ever made. The lack of praise is astounding. The villain is superb, the characters are great in their own way, the action is exhilarating, the plot twists are surprising (what an opening scene to get the audiences hooked), etc.

Terrific slam bang action movie! Great stunts and action packed. Story is a bit over familiair and the movie loses some momentum in the finale, but great fun and lots of excitement.

Also the first 3 minutes are more exciting than the complete 2hours of MI2

I don't understand why this film seems to have so many haters. Its one of, if not the best action film of the last 10 years.

Definitely my favorite. Not a huge fan of the other Mission: Impossible movies, but this one is very enjoyable.

Completely agree- this one combines the intelligent plotting of the first with the great action of the second, giving us the best of both worlds.

I originally dismissed Mission: Impossible III by saying I liked it better as the Alias pilot. Now that 1) my memories of both have dimmed and 2) Mission: Impossible Fallout has sort of closed the loop on Ethan Hunt's marriage relating all the way back to III, it was time for a revisit. At the time, it seemed like the first three films were completely disparate director visions, and we tend to think of Ghost Protocol as the start of a new cycle. But no, the cycle really starts here, and since Michelle Monaghan can do no wrong in my book - something I may have come to after my original viewing - I was much more interested in tracking this story. But while I appreciated it more, it is still the least memorable of ALL the M:I films. The stunt work isn't as iconic or jaw-dropping. The new cast members mostly forgettable (and forgotten, but for Monaghan and Pegg). The light comic touch that's in the later films is clunky, with one particular sequence played as slapstick (as the Rabbit's Foot rolls down the street). Better than I remembered as a story, but relatively speaking, Mission: Impossible "on the cheap" as an action spectacular.

The Best one so far.
Tom Cruise returns with a short hair cut to bring action and emotion to a level that his Ethan Hunt never dealt before.
The relationship in this movie, is more serious, Michelle Monaghan plays the love interest that actually I give a crap about it, I bought them as a real couple.
The villain is also a improvement, Philip Seymour Hoffman was great, a really good tension scene that in which he was excellent.
In overall good action, twists and more twists, a good ending the forth one is the next to see.

I should say about Philip Seymour Hoffman that I think, he is the man of every role.

I definitely needed this after the ridiculous MI2! Pretty good action flick! Little bit ridiculous premise with the whole corruption, mystery substance with stupid name but the actors made it work.

I imagine that this must be what it's like to have a seizure: Orange, green and blue lights strobing at you from all directions, with glaring bright--let's call them "flares"--blinding you and throwing things out of focus with too much exposure, with everything being way too close and shaking uncontrollably, so that you can't see anything that's happening.

Say, there's a movie that's a lot like that, too!
