Letting the young men here tell their own story in this docufiction serves to show the dreams and fears of people in these settings better than a straightforward documentary. How these guys work together as a small community, sharing food when one is without pay or doing everything they can to help their friend out of prison, supports the themes and ideas that the main character comes to realize.
