A film of two halves - an (initial) enjoyable look at late 1950s rock 'n' rollin' London turns very sinister...but there is not a lot of substance to it. Based on a play by Jez Butterworth (I've seen some of his other work on stage and recall having a similar feeling at the end), things are a bit all over the place. I was happy with the tunes, though!
If you like (or even didn't) this, I also recommend 'Telstar' (2008), which has somewhat of a similar feeling, but (in my opinion) better. 12 years 5 months ago
