A pleasant return to see some old friends. Not as strong by a mile as Monsters Inc., and lacking in imagination in parts as the Disney influence continues to loom like a shadow over Pixar's creations, but overall quite enjoyable.
As a side note, Monsters University makes plain what the Disney-produced Pixar features are lacking: Real heart and a way of making the film relatable to its target audience. As it stands, they come off as marketing tools to sell toys primarily rather than the other way around. 10 years 3 months ago -
