A big disappointment. A slightly dull re-telling of the Wyatt Earp legend, much better portrayed by Kurt Russel and Val Kilmer in Tombstone (1993). After seeing that movie, this movie comes off as a bit boring. Henry Fonda is always great to watch, but the supporting staff does not have enough charisma or interesting stuff to say. For a long time they don't build up to any conflict and the ending therefore seems a bit rushed, even though it is the best part of the movie. The romance aspect between Wyatt Earp and Clementine are given little screen time and failed to interest me, especially since it didn't really have anything to do with the main developments in the plot. Or should I say lack of development. Most of this movie does not go anywhere and for such a short movie it feels surprisingly slow. I like westerns and the last one I saw was Stagecoach by the same director. That is a far superior movie in almost all aspects of its creation. In conclusion "My Darling Clementine" is not a bad movie, I'd say average, but I don't get why it's held in such high regard. Anyone bother to explain?

I like this movie. Doc Holliday is a nice character, but Wyatt seems too shy for a marshall.

Before watching this I never realized that it was another Wyatt Earp story. Very good movie!

Nice western. Not as spectacular as I thought it would be but still, good. Nice camera shots.

It is beautifully shot and Henry Fonda is fine as Wyatt Earp, but that's about it. It's obvious from the beginning that the Clantons will be the bad guys and none of the characters are very compelling - Doc Holliday seemed like the most interesting one, but we don't get to know him that well, and Clementine gets almost no screen time, leaving the title quite injustified.

I like this western. The cinematography's nice, the songs are classic, the actors are really good and convincing, also I think this is Victor Mature's best role.
