I think the acting was really good. It was difficult to watch (in terms of the story). I can only imagine what it would be like in real life. But still an eye opening film 9 years 5 months ago -

Exceptional movie. Very touching and very gorgeous, but very heavy and difficult to watch. This will reduce you to tears, wether you’re a person that easily cries or a touch macho person who never bats an eyelid. Usually tearjerkers are sappy but this one is something special.
Cameron Diaz is fantastic. It’s very different from her usual roles, and I praise her for it. She breaks out of her comfort zone and takes on something she can sink her teeth into. And she did amazingly well.
Great movie. I just read up on how the movie differs from the novel and I'm happy they did. This ending seems a lot more realistic, even if it is sad. 10 years 5 months ago
