Wow, someone actually thought MST3K was a serious thing...

One of the most hilarious TV series of all time, this time on the big screen. Unfortunately, I had to wait until it came out on video before I could see it, since the studios and distributors didn't know how to market this film correctly and it never got anywhere near the theaters in my hometown. I still watch this movie over and over again.
Also: "This Island Earth" is pretty readily available to watch on DVD. It's a pretty fun movie on its own.

I feel kind of cheated that the MST3K movie was about 20 minutes shorter than the TV show (40 if we count commercials). Even the the skits were shorter. They should have exploited the format by doing something different than the show. Maybe use those 40 missing minutes for an actual narrative with Mike and the bots.

I LOL'd pretty hard with this one. But pity they cut the movie down so much. Also, the original flick is fullscreen (or was filmed in) while The Movie is in widescreen

MST3K is something that's best erased from our history books. It's a disgrace.
It does not have any production value, and hardly any entertainment value. In this particular movie, maybe 3 or 4 jokes are even remotely funny and only 1 or 2 show some degree of sophistication.
While watching I wished I could turn off those annoying characters and watch the movie in peace.
