Never in the history of the Turkish - PKK conflict have we Turks lost an entire platoon in a single battle. The largest attrition the Turkish army suffered in a single attack was when 33 unarmed soldiers returning home from military service were ambushed and brutally executed by the PKK which broke a ceasefire the PKK begged for after being forced into a post mortem status due to successful Turkish incursions into N.Iraq led by Osman Pamukoglu. This movie demoralises the Turkish people by making our army look defenceless, incapable and weak. The acting is good but the movie was directed by a liberal so in terms of motive and content what do you seriously expect. The whole idea of this movie was to criticize and weaken the reputation of our once mighty army... Or else why don't they make a movie about the glorious Turkish incursions into N.Iraq where Turkish soldiers wiped out entire camps and hundreds of PKK terrorists? Like I said, this movie is nothing more than propaganda to belittle our army and make Turks feel bad about the war which PKK Kurds started and want to end....by defeating the Turks and announcing their autonomy from us. Well thanks to movies like this, our people will be sending flowers to PKK Kurds and welcoming them in Habur border gates while they'll be returning our soldiers in coffins.
