   Zooey Deschanel says she plays Jess as if she's an offbeat girl, which matches with her offbeat character, though Zooey says she always tries to be as normal as possible.
   
   The series has a fast tempo.
   

   Episode 1: Jess moves in with the guys, after breaking up with her boyfriend and already has a date (sort off).
   Episode 2: Jess get's her stuff out of her ex's house and is already over him at the end of the episode.
   Episode 3: Nick (on of the guys, who's still in love with his ex), get's over his ex at the end of the episode.
   Episode 4: Jess sees Nick naked and Nick already has a date (sort off).
