The best thing about my afternoon watching this is my room is a lot cleaner .. I really had the chance to get on with some housework whilst it rambled on and DeNiro tried to show that offensive sex pests get their way if they persist long enough and that women just love being harassed by obnoxious and bullying creeps.

I have never been so excited to watch a film... and then so subsequently disappointed after watching said film. It's just near impossible to get past how revolting De Niro's character is. The beautiful artificiality of the old Hollywood sets never quite resolves with the awkwardness of the improv. However, the Happy Endings sequence is stunning. I want a recut of the film, starting at the 128 minute mark - just around then is when Minelli shines.
