A perfectly adequate but (mostly) skin deep portrayal of the life of those closest to the assassination of JFK. Acting is excellent across the board, and it is a thrill to see history recreated in such vivid detail. That said, the film really has nothing to say and really only exists for the purposes of history porn. The film missed out on excellent opportunities to discuss issues about loss and grief as a nation and how to move forward (inviting comparisons to a post-9/11 America).
Side note:The film is mostly shot with the narrow depth of field lenses that give everything a smeared, dreamy look. 10 years 3 months ago -
