Yes, given that it's unfinished, I kept expecting an abrupt cut-off, but it seemed to be complete to me-- a narrative with shape and closure.

This film opened my eyes to the grace of Renoir's style. A fantastic introduction. It confronts and explores the mysteries of courtship and blossoming love in such a short time.

You can see where they ran out of footage and were obligated to move to the future, yet, this doesn't seem to affect the ending.
I enjoyed it a lot, my only problem with it, is Anatole's character, he was very cartoony while all the other felt like real 19th century frenchman.
